Full course description

Explore the development of the United States program and the role Lyndon Johnson would play in its development and success. Learn at your own pace and on your own schedule through this asynchronous professional development course.

 

This program is designed for K-12 educators from social studies, science, and ELR programs, but all educators are invited to be part of the learning. 

 

Completion of this course will result in 10 continuing education hours from the State of Texas (certificate of completion will be provided).

 

Course objectives:

Explore the role Lyndon Johnson had in the development of the United States space program

Examine aspects of the U.S. Space Race and their impact on the development of technology

Utilize primary sources in instruction and learning

Develop historical analysis and research skills
